Setting up your blog is a lot simpler than you think. For those of you thinking to yourself that you’re not a computer savvy person (couldn’t setup your own email account for example). I have great news, you do not have to be a computer geek, there are tools out there that you could use to pretty much automate the process. You just key in a few pieces of information and wa-la (is that how you spell that 
, but anyway. You do not have to be a great speller either, so there you go.) you got yourself a blog.
It can be done for very low cost. Believe it or not, it can also be done for FREE! Yes I said, FREE! For those of you that is starting off like we did a year ago with very little to no money. You can pay a professional to make one for you if you have the budget to do so.
If you want to pay someone, you can go to www.warriorforum.com and hire someone. Just check out the forums and begin a conversation with someone about building a blog for you. You set the budget that you have for the project, and find someone that can get it done for that amount. Our advice, get a sample of their work so you know what you are getting (specifically for those with a limited budget. Ever heard, you get what you pay for). This is the quickest way to get it done if you are new to business online.
You can also go to a website where they specialize in setting up Blogs (I do not want to specifically give any names to any because I have not used any particular one to setup my blog, therefore I cannot recommend the job they would do). The cost can range from different prices from around $200 to $5,000 or more. If you do not have the time or patience to set your blog up, this can be a great way to get it done.
Let’s focus on some free ways to set one up. There are several websites that offer a free blog. One of the best that come to mind is WordPress. Let’s not forget about Blogger, another big one too. Since we primarily use WordPress, am going to focus this article on using it. There are two versions of WordPress. Let’s get into the differences. You can use WordPress.com if you do not have your own domain and want them to host your blog for you for FREE. They do allow you to use your own domain if you have one, but it’s a small FEE to use this. Also, they may put small ads on your blog from time to time. It’s rare, but happens. You can remove those ads, by paying a small fee. The great thing about WordPress.com is that they do pretty much everything for you. They make it easy for the normal person to set up, administer and maintain (the non computer geek in other words). Check it out at WordPress.com.
OR
You can use WordPress.org. This is only if you have your own domain and hosting. They provide the blog software. This is an open source community. We highly recommend using the web software from www.wordpress.org. It’s FREE. You get the same flexibility using WordPress.com without having to pay fees for certain things. With the open source blog software, you can look as professional as possible when setting your blog up. The problem here is that you have to know more in order to make this work, like hosting, FTP, etc. If you are not familiar with coding you may need someone who is with you. Again, you can find someone to hire for specific task at www.warriorforum.com. Let’s lightly explore both so you have some information to help you choose what is better for you.
WordPress.com
Open source WordPress has been incredibly successful and risen from a handful of users to the most-used blog tool. However, as easy-to-use as the open source package is, there is still a barrier in that it requires a hosting account, a database, FTP, and a whole alphabet soup of acronyms that make normal people like you and me dizzy.
WordPress.com brings the blogging experience to a larger audience. It’s a hosted version of the open source package where you can start a blog in seconds without any technical knowledge. They have bought something unique to the table.
WordPress.com is under very active development, and they roll out updates almost every day. New features and services are driven by you and me. Almost everything on WordPress.com is free, and things that are currently free will remain free in the future, but they do offer paid a la carte upgrades for things like CSS editing and custom domains.
There are a lot of places you could put your blog, but we recommend these guys if you are not a technical person!

WordPress started in 2003 with a single bit of code to enhance the typography of everyday writing and with fewer users than you can count on your fingers and toes. Check it out at http://wordpress.org. Since then it has grown to be the largest self-hosted blogging tool in the world, used on millions of sites and seen by tens of millions of people every day.
Everything you see, from the documentation to the code itself, was created by and for the community. WordPress is an Open Source project, which means there are hundreds of people all over the world working on it. It also means you are free to use it for anything from your pet’s home page to a Fortune 500 web site without paying anyone a license fee and a number of other important freedoms.
On this site you can download and install a software called WordPress. To do this you need a web host who meets the minimum requirements and a little time. WordPress is completely customizable and can be used for almost anything.
WordPress started as just a blogging systems, but has evolved to be used as full content management system and so much more through the thousands of plugins, widgets, and themes, WordPress is limited only by your imagination and technical knowledge.
WordPress was born out of a desire for an elegant, well-architectured personal publishing system built on PHP and MySQL and licensed under the GPL. WordPress is fresh software, but its roots and development go back to 2001. It is a mature and stable product. Focusing on user experience and web standards, they can create a tool different from anything else out there.
The core software is built by hundreds of community volunteers, and when you’re ready for more there are thousands of plugins and themes available to transform your site into almost anything you can imagine. Over 25 million people have chosen WordPress to power the place on the web they call “their blog.”
To get started all you have to do is download the software at WordPress.org. Click on “Download WordPress” Once you have it, you will have to install it on your hosting server for your domain.
