How to Blog and Make Money Online?

I’m noticing how popular blogging is these days, but not everyone knows how to blog and make money doing it. I came online Feb 4, 2008 to seek opportunities as an entrepreneur. I was tired and burned out from the Childcare industry. As president and CEO of my business the hours were long and I was ball and chained to it. I orchestrated a Non-Traditional program. The turnover rate was high, the State ran out of money, parents were losing their jobs and moving a way, and the slow economy drove me into making a decision to close my doors after a successful 9 year track record. As a business woman and entrepreneur in my community, I was at the gas pump making life decisions. Buy gas or buy food, buy food or pay my mortgage. It was tough. As an entrepreneur, I had to seek out other ways of making money.

I Learned How to Blog and Make Money

I’ve heard of people making an honest living online and decided to see how they were doing it. To my surprise, people were making money in various ways. I quickly saw how “guru’s” were pretty much mesmerizing people through long drawn out sales pitches. They were sucking people in through the psychology of emotional stories and savvy marketing systems. I realized the percentage of people who were dominating the 1st pages of the search engines with content and links were small. I saw people dominating YouTube with video marketing. They were cranking out hundreds of videos, probably hoping their videos go viral, they had thousands of subscribers, comments and friends then all of a sudden their channel no longer existed. Social Networking sites were exploding on the scene. Facebook and Twitter was the new go to social site while I was just learning how to use MySpace and LinkedIn. I saw people with optimized and monetized websites who were ranking on the first page under several keywords. It was ridiculous. I thought to myself, whoever those people are gotta be controlling over 90% of the money made online. Blogging was beginning to become more popular. However, they were video blogs. I wanted to learn how to blog and make money doing videos, but I didn’t want my video channel at the mercy of someone who can shut me down because someone reports my videos or YouTube channel, so I didn’t want to waste my time on pumping out hundreds of videos anymore. I had 2 YouTube channels shut down.

Do You Want to Learn How to Blog and Make Money?

My head was beginning to spin because of the enormous amount of information on the web. After all, people search the web for information right? If you can provide a solution to what they may be searching for you can and will make money. But at the time I didn’t realize that I first needed to find out what they were searching for or how I can help… duh. I bought one download after the next and joined one program after the next trying to learn how to capitalize online. I tried various marketing systems, listened to various CD’s and read several e-books on several how to topics. After a 3 years learning curve I finally found what works for me. I enjoy blogging. I like how when I post an article on my blog it usually shows up on the 1st page of Google within 24-48 hours. I learned how to blog and make money.  I love the interaction with my blog community and I love the fact that they enjoy not only my articles, but my partner’s articles and our guest bloggers post too. But it wasn’t always that way for me. My partner and I launched our blog last year on September 1st and we blogged about anything because we were told if you blog daily and share your content over the web you would make money.

After a 3 year learning curve I finally connected with leaders and learned how to blog and make money!
