What are Life Events? The weekend of June 25-27, 2010 was a prime example of what Life Events are. Let me explain…

John Calhoun and Leah R Evans attended their Networking Marketing Company’s International Event over the weekend in Cleveland Ohio. It was an EMOTIONAL ride as life is a roller coaster that we should not be subjected to. Life should be subjected to us, when you know how powerful your words and thoughts are. Have you ever wondered what are life events?

Leah planned on recording interviews with team members to share other peoples life events with their blog community, but after Saturday’s conference everything came to a screeching halt. Leah received a phone call that every mother fears and was getting ready to experience first hand what are life events. She was told by her daughter that her oldest son Shane had died.

Current Life Events

A Police Officer found her son unconscious, not breathing, foaming at the mouth and hunched out over someone’s hedges. The officer called the paramedics and they arrived within 2 minutes. Shane was intubated in the ambulance while the paramedics worked on reviving him. When they got a heart beat they took him to the University Hospital. That officer knew where her mom lives. Her mother is a friend of the Police Chief. She’s also an assistant pastor and would go down to the police station from time to time to bless it. Leah never thought about what are life events and was getting ready to experience a life event up close and personal.

That week her family was in Upstate New York for a family reunion. Shane and her two brothers did not go. Leah’s brother called her daughter and her daughter called her at 6:47pm on June 26, 2010 with the bad news. Leah’s brother told her what hospital they were in route to. Leah was told that Shane slipped several times in the ambulance and hadn’t arrived at the hospital yet. The hospital couldn’t tell her much. They weren’t sure if he was going to the hospital or the morge. Talk about “Life Events”, they had the hospital social worker call her once he arrived.

John and Leah were at a three day conference and had one more day left for the Cleveland Event. When they got back to the hotel they began packing. It was then she got the call that her son was not breathing on his own and in a comma. Can you imagine this? Leah said, “I almost lost my friggin mind in that car on the ride back to Pittsburgh. I was suppose to be recording What are Life Events and here I am experiencing life events.” She prayed to God loudly and exercised all the FAITH that she has. She lamented on and off throughout the ride back into Pittsburgh. John prayed to himself quietly. Cleveland is two hours outside of Pittsburgh and they arrived in an hour and a half.

The Dramatic Change of the Life Events

Nothing could have prepared Leah for what she was about to see. A machine was breathing for her son and he was in a comma. She called his name and he went into a violent seizure and foamed at the mouth. Leah is squeamish and nursing is not her forte. She freaked out! She nearly jumped on John’s head. He held her up and said, “Just pray and keep praying”. She screamed and doctors ran into the room and began sucking the foam from the sides of his mouth with a hand held suction device. As Christians John and Leah knows that God answers prayers through Faith. So she called her family who was 5 hours away at a Family Reunion. She asked her mother, who is an Evangelist, to tell the whole family to pray that God heals Shane and sends him back to them with no problems. No one knows how long he lacked oxygen and the situation was not looking good for Shane. Her family stopped in their tracks and bombarded Heaven with their prayers while she declared God’s word and Prophesied over her son’s comatosed body. She laid hands on her son from head to toe and spoke life and blessings into him! She ministered over him, called his name and stimulated his brain and nervous system. She was relentless and refused to let go of her son.  She was living what are life events in the hospitals ER and she believes had she gave up on her son it would have changed her life forever.

Leah prayed over her son from 9:30pm until 4:30am. She had no idea she was going to experience what are life events. She was exhausted, but would not give up on her son as his life depended on her faith. She and John rested in the waiting for a couple hours. They informed the ICU nurses that they were going to freshen up, change clothes and come right back. She also told the nurses that when she comes back he will be breathing on his own and that he was going to wake up, sit up and tell her what happened to him. In route back to the hospital Leah received a phone call from the nurse. She said, “Shane’s oxygen level was up to 95 and we would like to take him off the ventilator”. Leah walked into Shane’s room at 9am the next morning. They turned off the ventilator and took intubate out his throat. Shane opened his eyes, sat up and said, “Where am I and why am I here”? Leah asked him does he know what are life events? She explained to him that he just experienced a life event and has lived to talk about it.

Shane takes psyche meds and experienced acute respiratory failure because he took his medicine wrong. That mistake nearly caused him his life and became a life event. Despite of the critical state that her son was in Leah didn’t let it get into her spirit. She would not let go and couldn’t accept what she was told over the phone or what she saw in the ER and ICU room.

She thanked God for healing Shane and wondered what the heck was that was all about?  What’s the message?  Who is this story for?  Her faith was stretched that day like never before. It’s a true story and a TESTIMONY that she now shares to inspire and encourage people. Her topic is, What are Life Events?  Life is full of surprises and we should not be subjected to it. Life should be subjected to us. We have the authority to move mountains and raise the dead if we believe. We have the power to create a new reality regardless of how things look.

God wants us to keep him first and do His will with PASSION. Never chase or worship money as the love of it is the root to all evil. Despite of what we may experience during this recession and in this economy life events can change your life and we still must trust in God while we run our race and keep the FAITH because it can literally raise the dead.

There may be times that our dreams, relationships with family, friends and loved ones may seem dead, but they are not. You have power in you to create your reality. It’s going take faith to speak life into it. Regardless of how things look we must see beyond circumstances, issues and situations. This life event became a testimony to inspire you.

What to Learn from My Life Events

NEVER GIVE UP… Leah can’t say that enough… NEVER GIVE UP because you just don’t know how things are gonna turn out! You can have what you say if you can see it first in your minds eye. She saw her son alive and not dead. And she didn’t see life events changing their life for the worst.

Leah heard people say that their company’s Networking Marketing Event were altering life events, but she never imagined that she would have a story or topic about what are life events while attending one. She wore the band on our arm from that event for months as a reminder of her faith as she set goals around it. She has been sharing her inspiring faith filled motivating story with everyone. Her son has a new lease on life and now takes his meds according to his prescription. He is 25 years old.
